Results vary by image type, by detector, and by third-party detector updates, so Forensic Cleaner is built around broad signal reduction rather than chasing one named detector. It reduces detector-facing signals. It does not guarantee invisibility.

What does Forensic Cleaner do?
Forensic Cleaner reduces detector-facing signals while keeping the result close to the original image.
Results vary by image and detector. No method is guaranteed to bypass every detector.
Which cleaning strength should I use?
Start with Strong for the best chance of passing on the first attempt.
If Strong works but changes the image more than you would like, try Quality. Quality mode uses a gentler process and makes the cleaning effect less visible.
Why is my cleaned image still being detected?
First, confirm that you are testing the cleaned output rather than the original image.
Detection rates are not 100%, and results vary widely between detectors. Some are simply unreliable: they routinely flag real photographs as AI, because their scores react to resolution and JPEG compression rather than to how the image was actually made.
For those detectors, try the 1024px downscale option. Downscaling can improve results and can also improve SynthID removal reliability.
For additional comparisons, try TruthScan, Hive, or AI or Not. Also review the slop score shown before cleaning.
Why does my result look smeared, grainy, yellow, pink, red, or purple?
Try Quality mode. It applies a gentler effect than Strong mode.
Some difficult images may still show artifacts. Lower strength settings can also help when faces are small or far away.
What strength should I use for SynthID removal?
Medium is a good starting point.
If small or distant faces become distorted, use a lower strength. Higher settings are more aggressive but can have a larger effect on image quality.
Why is SynthID still detected after processing?
SynthID removal is not 100% reliable for every image.
Try a different strength, and using the 1024px downscale option can also improve SynthID removal reliability.
If repeated attempts fail, try a different image.
Does Two Tensors remove hidden metadata from images?
Yes. The current Two Tensors workflow removes hidden image metadata in addition to processing visible detector-facing signals.
Does Two Tensors support video or audio SynthID removal?
The current tool is designed for images. Video and audio SynthID removal are not currently available, but we have plans to add more products in the future.
What is the maximum supported resolution?
The current maximum output size is approximately 2 megapixels.
Higher resolutions are not presently available because of processing and GPU requirements.
Do credit packs unlock 1024px, Quality mode, or API access?
No. Credit packs are one-time credit reloads. They do not change your subscription plan or unlock subscription features.
You need an active subscription for paid-plan features such as higher-resolution processing and Quality mode. API access is included with Pro and Scale.
Credit-pack credits do not expire while your account remains active.
Where can I see my credit balance?
Your current credit balance appears in the top-right corner of the Two Tensors website.
If you recently subscribed or purchased credits and they are not visible, refresh the page and sign in again.
If they are still missing, contact support privately with the purchase email and approximate payment time.
Why did my monthly or free credits disappear?
Monthly and free credits may reset or expire with their applicable account cycle. One-time credit-pack credits follow the separate credit-pack policy and do not expire while the account remains active.
If your new monthly allocation did not appear, refresh the page first. If it remains missing, report it in support because it may be an account-credit issue.
What should I do if processing is stuck on “validating”?
If validation remains stuck after retrying, it may be a temporary service issue.
Please include the following in your support report:
- The exact error message
- A screenshot
- Whether it affects multiple images or devices
- Whether you are using the website or API
- The file format and approximate dimensions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open your Profile and choose Cancel at period end.
You can cancel at any time. Access will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Where can I find my receipt or invoice?
Receipts are sent automatically to the email used during checkout. Check both your inbox and spam folder.
Can I pay with Bitcoin or crypto?
Yes, via a Bitcoin Lightning invoice, which you can pay directly with dozens of wallets or services.
